New Group Paper on Tissue-Specific Regulation of the Circadian Clock

#####cis-Regulatory Requirements for Tissue-Specific Programs of the Circadian Clock

We study how the conserved transcription factors CLOCK and CYCLE determine tissue-specific clock programs. We find that these factors bind to different targets in heads versus bodies in Drosophila, and that CLK/CYC-enhancer activity is dependent upon co-activation by transcription factors OPA and SRP in the two contexts respectively. Additionally, we find that SRP is essential for body-specific enhancer acitivity.
